I am a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Deusto, driven by a strong interest in the intersection between engineering, neuroscience and healthcare technology. I am especially passionate about understanding how data, medical devices and neurotechnology can be used not only to advance science, but also to create meaningful solutions that improve people’s quality of life.
I am currently complementing my academic background with a neurotechnology internship at the Laboratory of Cellular Basis of Behavior and Disease at Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, within Edgar Soria-Gómez’s research group. This experience is allowing me to get closer to the world of neuroscience research while exploring how engineering can contribute to the study of brain function, behaviour and disease.
Beyond the academic and research environment, creativity is also a big part of who I am. Outside the lab, you will probably find me with paint on my hands, and most likely on my face too, working on my next great piece of art, or at least trying to. Always with a good playlist in the background, I enjoy creating, exploring new ideas and imagining which country I would like to discover next.
