We created Venn diagrams to identify our linguistic repertoires and how we came to learn/use these languages
Conceptual collages on the ideal language teacher
We created collages that we believe represent the ideal language teacher. The idea was to reflect on the teachers who have inspired us, the methods and strategies we have learned that are important to us and that we believe are essential to becoming language teachers.
We created multilingual portraits that represent our identities as speakers of French. It was about reflecting on our cultural identities and our relationship to the French language and francophone cultures.
We created plurilingual poems to express who we are and where we are from. These helped think about the interaction of the different languages in our linguistic repertoire.
We offered a workshop to use art as a tool to develop critical awareness among L2 teachers. We created "hand outlines" and "palm poems" artworks to establish learning objectives. Then we created drawings of a culturally sensitive classroom.
