Welcome to First Contact English for International Communication. Our orientation module introduces the course methodologies and procedures, aiming to equip you with essential competences for effective communication in multicultural contexts.
Major elements of this course are organized around different situations, fostering the development of listening and speaking skills within specific contexts.
Students produce podcasts, typically lasting between 1-3 minutes, which are relaxed and relevant to weekly topics.
Topics revolve around understanding and discussing functions most prevalent in multicultural contexts.
Activities and tasks are structured around the four skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening, reflecting both ESL | EFL national and international contexts.
We explore the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, as proposed by Gardner, recognizing various types of intelligence including musical, interpersonal, spatial-visual, and linguistic intelligence.
