Challenge
Have you ever had Cabin Fever – especially at this time of year?
How do you handle it?
Do you change the design of your log cabin – make it modern? Wonky? Add a second design? Or change the color from the traditional brown and beige to maybe blue and yellow, purple and orange?
Do you look to the outside for inspiration – flowers, trees or fences are great in a log cabin design.
Do you look to animals to get out of your funk – dogs, cats, birds, deer, and wild animals are all around us and great for Cabin Fever.
The scenery around your cabin can be breathtaking and would work well in a log cabin design.
Use your imagination and inspiration to get out of your Cabin Fever!!!
This is the challenge for the 2025 quilt show - Your creation must incorporate a log cabin quilt design in at least a portion of your design.
Guidelines are similar to past years:
The design and background are your choice but must include a log cabin quilt design in at least a portion of the design.
Embellishments are welcome.
The piece is to be enclosed in a 20" x 16" mat (opening 11" x 14"). You choose the colour of the mat and purchase it.
You need 1" all around the piece to fasten it to the back of the matt (ie - our piece should measure 13" x 16")
It does not have to be bound but must be quilted by hand or machine.
All quilts need to be registered on the 2025 Quilt Show Registration Form by you. They are to be delivered to the Show on the Monday with the quilts.
Judging will be at the Show as a People's Choice. There are ribbons for1st, 2nd, 3rd.
