MEMBERSHIP DUES
Hello fellow Members,
It's that time of year again when we all need to be thinking about our Guild dues. We only have two meetings before we break for the summer, and it would be appreciated if everyone would make an effort to pay their dues in this time frame. So far, the Executive has managed not to raise the cost. It still remains at $25.00 and, aside from our annual Quilt Show, provides one of the major revenues for the Guild.
Our Membership accepts Cash, Cheques, and E transfers, the latter of which is becoming more popular each year. We will be giving out receipts this year, and if you would like to do an e transfer, my email address is: jadayenb@gmail.com
Jeannie and I will be looking forward to seeing you at the door on the 17th.
Happy April,
Jocelyn

GUILD PROJECTS
There are a number of guild projects that may be of interest. Here's a list:
Books & Blocks - we are trying out a new group that encompasses both our love of reading and of quilting. The challenge is to complete a quilt block of any size that represents something about a book that we have just read. There are various groups that you can find on facebook (just google Books and Blocks). The original idea may have been one book/one block a month but in our club, it can be whatever works for you. You may even decide that all you can manage is one book a year so instead make it a chapter block! Questions - contact Mary Crowley.
Round Robin Challenge - 3 - 4 month member sharing challenge presented by Doris Mowry Committee. Owner chooses a theme (such as seasons, houses, leaves and berries, cups and saucers, animals, song titles), then makes a block (12 1/2 inches) in March. This is passed on to a second person in April who passes it on to the next person. Here's a link to for more information. Sign-up is closed.
What's in My Garden (Guild Challenge): (Change in Display date)
Due to the number of participants not quite ready for the May meeting we will postpone the display and presentation to members until the September meeting. That way the quilts will be all fresh and ready to be entered for the show as well!!!
Mary Crowley has prepared info at this link. Please note that the original size suggested for the Guild Challenge “What’s in My Garden” was 20” x 60”. After that I have stated the size as 16” x 60”. The latter was incorrect. I apologize for any confusion and in order to not affect whatever one may have already started the completed project should be approximately 16”-20” x 60”.
2024 KVQG QUILT SHOW
Quilt Show Challenge - is 'A Flower Garden'. Please use the link for details on the challenge. Any questions, please feel free to talk to Kim Reese, Anna Marie Hutton, Carol Goodman, or Brenda Dunsmore. Thanks ladies for again taking the lead on this fun activity.
Small Articles Table - Dorothy Harvey has tags and forms for small articles, which she will bring to the next meeting. She hopes everyone is busy at their sewing machines (making small articles :))

Update on Terry Rowland Workshops (October 2024)
