‘A Flower Garden’

Our show this year is “A Walk in the Garden” so in keeping with this theme we thought the challenge should give you the opportunity to make a flower.When displayed we will have our own garden.

· Choose an idea through a photo, calendars, or magazine page, your own idea or any other way that will inspire you to make one type of flower (preferably one flower)

· The background is your choice but no scenery or garden.

· Embellishments are welcome. Various fabric is encourages ( silk, corduroy,velvet)

· The pieces are to be enclosed in a (20" x 16") mat (opening 11" x 14"). You choose the colour of the mat and purchase it.

· You need 1" all around the piece to fasten it to the matt (ie. 13" x 16")

· It does not have to be bound but must be quilted (by hand or machine).

· All quilts need to be registered on the registration form by you for the show. They are to be delivered to the show on the Monday with the quilts.

· Judging will be at the show as a People's Choice. There are ribbons for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
