Next Meeting - Wed. Dec 10 at Legion, 8 River Road (Christmas dinner)
Fourteen participants enjoyed learning and practicing a number of embroidery stitches with Lorette. Lorette started with a trunk show of wool embroidery quilts that had us in awe (so much so that we forgot to take photos!).
We received a kit and instruction on the stitches to make this project. Lorette also gave us access to private facebook groups with further instruction on various stitches.

Mary Crowley's summary of the Maxwell bag class. Plaid is Grace Smith. She used some pretty cool other prints and her fancy stitches she learned in Nola’s class. Ruth Brown had one bag from earlier and finished her second. She modified both inside and outside pockets in ways we are planning to steal. Jocelyn got one done earlier and mailed and for her second one she chose to make a cool change in handle positioning…all intentional of course. Julia used some exciting and very special material and we are so proud because we know how hard it is to do this. Karen had some sweet puppy fabrics and she also modified the pockets from the pattern. Bev was slow and steady today making sure to take note of all the adaptations so we know her final bag will be using the best of the best. The last couple pictures is Robin’s creations. She gave us great tips and of course the pattern modifications we all seem to make when we find a better way to do something. She also kept us all on task and we gave her new ideas that she can use in her future bag makings.

Some photos from the Intense Workshop given by Kathy Tidswell. Kathy showed some of her beautiful quilts, but we were so enthralled we forgot to take photos!
