You will have a month of grace period from the last day of a semester. Make sure to leave within the grace period.
Your ARC would have an expiration date that is later than the grace period deadline. However, Konkuk will report the end of the semester to the Immigration Office, and they will invalidate your ARC (which is your visa) accordingly. The report overrides the date on your ARC.
Please make sure you turn in your ARC at the airport's immigration officer.
You may face fines at the airport due to one or more of the following reasons: Leaving after the grace period, failing to turn in the ARC, applying for your ARC after 90 days from your arrival date, NOT applying for an ARC.
The transcript will be issued around the 20th of January (Fall semester)/July (Spring semester) and distributed to students' individual email addresses.
The International Office can NOT issue the transcript before the scheduled dates or change the grade. We will NOT respond to related enquiries.
Enjoy the break and make sure to return before the next semester starts
Keep your eyes on your mailbox for dormitory application, course registration, and any other notices from the office.
Keep your eyes on your mailbox for the extension package. We will send you the extension package, including the certificate of extension and the transcript of record. You will need those documents to extend your visa for the second semester.
You should visit the immigration office at Mokdong (목동) individually. You can book a visit online and submit the documents offline.
If you plan to leave Korea during the break, please make sure to come back within the grace period.
Your extension might be cancelled due to one or more of the following reasons: returning to Korea after the grace period, not applying for the visa extension at the immigration office, or leaving Korea before your visa extension is granted.
Please note that the International Office always try to help our international students, but we can NOT and will NOT go against the Immigration Act of Korea.
