Facilities

When students/parents first come into the building they are greeted with this mural reminding them to always follow their hearts and reach for the stars. We are the All-Stars here at Cliffdale Elementary School.

When students/parents come into the school, the mural is on the left and there are two locked doors preventing anyone from coming into the school without first being "buzzed" into the building.

The main office is on the right as students/parents enter the building. Our principal ordered a poster so that everyone who enters Cliffdale feels welcomed into the building. Within the front office is a camera and a speaker system where the front office staff can talk with the parents/visitors that come to the building without having to go outside.

Cliffdale Elementary has six buses on its payroll. There is also a high school bus that services Cliffdale. Six buses drive an elementary route and high school route. One bus only drives an elementary school route.

Our cafeteria has brand new tables that were donated to us. The tables fold up to be seats with a back and can be used as seats for family and friends events to be held at the school.

Our school has a stage located inside of the cafeteria. This year, we received new stage curtains making the stage more welcoming and pleasing to view.

Our library was painted and redesigned by our current media coordinator. She ordered the tables, chairs and reconstructed the library to make it pleasing to the eye and welcoming for students and faculty to visit.

Located in the back of the library is a makerspace for students and staff. Students can do things like play games, legos, or sit and read books in this makerspace. The majority of the makerspace was funded via Donors Choose.

Our school is shaped like an H. There are classes up and down the halls. Classrooms are grouped together by grade level.

Our school does not have a gym for our students to use. Our school has partnered with the recreation center so that our students can use the gym for their PE class. Our PE teacher goes to the recreation center gym to teach class.

Here is our faculty workroom where the mailboxes and printers are located. I think it is in a very convenient spot as it is just about directly in the center of the school. Though some will have to walk a little farther than others, I wouldn't have a better location to suggest.

Bulletin Boards are required to be changed quarterly to give students something positive to see within the hallways. It is clear that teachers here at Cliffdale take their time to ensure their boards are thought-out and welcoming.
