Knomee 2.11
Knomee 2.11 is now available on the app store ! After two years of observation, our team has returned to development for a new set of releases in 2023.
Knomee 2.11 brings the following new features:
Tracker analysis is now available for all tracker. Tracker analysis is a set of data-visualization tools to look at temporal (daily and weekly) or spatial patterns. This has been available for the main (goal) quest tracker for some time, it is now available for all trackers. Simply click on one of the top three square icons on the visualisation screen.
Knomee introduces ARHR (Daily Average Rest Heart Rate) assuming that you collect the rest heat rate from your Apple watch or from another Healthkit connected device. The 24 hours average value is a great synthesis of what your heart rate tells about your well-being. The new "Heart" quest in the quest library is a great tool to explore the links between various heart metrics and to learn about yourself
Numerical trackers have been very popular for a long time, but sometimes the decimal numbers (such as 3.14) do not make sense. When you simply want to count something (like the number of coffees that you drank today), Knomee 2.10 now offer a new "counter" type when you define a new tracker for a new quest.
A number of small improvements have been made to the user interfaces, such as the capacity to "track back" over 24 hours. When you track, you use a slider to pick a value (for each tracker). This slider moves up and down to pick a value, but it can also go back and forth to change the tracking time. With Knomee 2.10, you can track back during the past 24 hours.
The use of "sliders" is worth noticing since it is a differentiating feature of Knomee, compared to the many tracking apps. Most apps display a set of squares (one for each tracker) and you click on them to enter a new value. Knomee has two strong user experience (UX) belief:
you do not track a single value, you track a set of tracker associated to a quest, what we call "self-tracking with sense". The user interface of Knomee is organised around quests, so that you can see the values and the history at once.
Tracking is actually boring, only when you get the insights do you see the value of self-tracking. This Knomee UI is optimized for time : you can move the sliders with you thumb and be done very quickly. If you are a "multi quest tracker", then you can swipe horizontally with your thumb from one quest to another.
This new release of Knomee will be followed by some simplifications in 2023. Stay tuned for further updates.
