Gradient isn't a visible marking itself, but a modifier: it change only existing markings.
If it's present, it may colour a marking with two different colours. In its dominant form it may affect up to all present marking.
It can be done in different ways, as long as two different colors are recognizable.
Gradient cannot affect Piebald and Oil.
Keep in mind that gradient must show evident color difference
A light nuance won't count as gradient!
The marking showstwo different colors blended together.
Gradient changes color to only few portions of the marking
You can make gradient affect both layers
Color both layers, regardless of the lighter/darker rules.
Make gradient fully color one layer only, regardless of the lighter/darker rules
Gradient is the only marking that can allow to use low saturated colors on Charcoal
If Gradient is the only marking (or the only one with Piebald/Oil), it may blend two shade of the same base coat. It may cover only 50% of it!
Combinations are:
Head to tail
Tail to head
Left to right
Right to left
Belly area
Back area
Radiant (from center to borders and viceversa)
Remember that in this case you can do only a blending edge!
No shapes allowed!
