Emil Arthur Martin Beckman

Emil lived on the Beckman farm with Grandma Marie then went to Jamestown, North Dakota as Pete (Louise's husband) was getting him a job on the railroad.

This did not prove too successful and he came back to the Perham area where he met Elizabeth “Liz” Weimann. They were married March 23, 1923 when Emil was 24 and Liz was 19 and moved to Jamestown, North Dakota.

They soon moved to Minnesota and stayed with Weimann's until moving into the Beckman place. They lived with his sister Elsie then to the Louie Schroeder place. He was in the process of buying it when Joe Krueger did.

They moved north to the Jorgenson Place and then east to the Husen Farm. Also a place along the Ottertail River into a house across from Zion church and into the Jahn house.

He was selling insurance and helping out at Well’s shop. Wells talked him into going to school to learn a trade and move to Minneapolis which he did in 1942. In 1963 they moved to Pine County south of Pine City and to Hinckley, Minnesota in 1966.

Liz and Emil had three children.

Liz passed away at the age of 69 in 1973.

Emil married Helen Broden on July 6, 1974.
