It is very hard to spend less than you
make and much easier to spend more.
There are tons of books that
teach how to reach happiness,
( a profound state of peace.)
However, we are living in this
world that is full of reality.
Spending less is a very hard
thing to do. Many see it as a
sacrifice.
If you have to sacrifice to
spend less, you will be in a
constant struggle and spend
a lot of time in misery.
If you can make it a goal
to work for, you have a
chance for happiness.
Money cannot buy happiness
but without it?
If someone is homeless, hungry
and penniless and is filled with
happiness, a lucky person they are.

Learn from observation
or learn from experience.
I created the seven word quote,
after reading Theodore
Roosevelt's Fourteen word
quote below.
"This is no new thing.
Americans learn only
from catastrophes and
not from experience."
"THEODORE ROOSEVELT -
AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY BY
THEODORE ROOSEVELT"
Chapter VII: THE WAR OF
AMERICA THE UNREADY
Published by C. Scribner's Sons, 1899
19 years before the 1918 Spanish Flu
Pandemic, President Roosevelt wrote,
"This is no new thing"
and 120 years later his quote
would have meaning today.
There are times when we are forced to
learn from a catastrophic experience.
When we can learn by experience and
from the catastrophes of those around
us, our life will be filled with stories.
It is those stories that you will read on this
website.

“The fact is that we are really
talking to ourselves,”
A quote found in Lillian R. Lieber's book titled
"The Education Of T. C. MITS"
Copyright renewed 1972 by Lillian R. Lieber
Published by W. W. Norton & Company New York
Reading Lillian's quote helped me
develop this idea.
When I was younger I talked to myself
a lot, and I could do it silently.
Now that I am 74, I talk out loud.
Not all the time, but enough that
my wife will ask, "What are you
mumbling about now?"
"Nothing in particular, I am in the
first stage of writing."
When I was younger I would do
my writing on plain paper. Today
I use my Chromebook hooked
up to a large monitor.
For me 99% of writing is editing.
I have to guard against perfection
or I will never complete a sentence.
I take words that look like a net
filled with sardines and turn
them into a school of fish
performing an underwater ballet.
My writing ideas come from books
that I read, stories other people
tell me and personal experience.
