The KDK trainers' network records the intellectual property rights of its members for the training, consulting and other products by placing information in this register.
Unauthorized usage of intellectual property is a crime according to the legislation of Ukraine and recognised as an unacceptable action according to Article 18 of the Code of Ethics of the KDK network.
Intellectual property rights enforcement in the KDK network and outside is performed by the Commission for the observance of intellectual property rights of the KDK network.
Info for IP owners
Placing information on IP rights in the registry of the KDK network indicates the existence of the IP object and the awareness of its authors of their IP rights.
The definition of types and parameters of objects of IP rights is provided by the Civil Code of Ukraine.
The scope of IP right protection depends on the type of an IP right object and is established by the Civil Code of Ukraine. The Code of Ukraine on administrative violations (Article 51-2), other laws and by-laws of Ukraine.
The KDC network strives to harmonize the protection of IP rights with the best international practices and may provide stricter protection of IP rights than provided by the current legislation of Ukraine.
The scope of protection of IP rights (name, content, logo, educational materials, etc.) is established by the author or a group of authors.
The register contains information about the name of the IP object, its authors, type (according to the definitions provided in the Civil Code of Ukraine), the scope of protection of the IP object in the KDK network, the date of application of IP rights.
The register also may contain information about the legal entity that accounts for the object of IP rights as an intangible asset and performs economic management of IP rights on behalf of the author.
At the author's request, the economic management of his rights may be managed by the NGO "Analytical Center of AUU" in accordance with the regulations on membership
