Always carry and use cash overseas, as not all places accept cards, especially in smaller towns or local markets. This combination gives me flexibility while keeping my money safe and easily accessible.

A New Zealand driver’s license and an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) are essential for driving overseas. The NZ license serves as valid ID, but an IDP is often required to legally drive in many countries, translating your details into multiple languages. Together, they ensure you're covered if you decide to rent a car or need identification while traveling, providing convenience and peace of mind.
