My mini eyeshadow palette ended up being unnecessaryāit still took up space in my toiletry bag, but with the minimal makeup I wore, I never reached for it. Plus, in the heat, spending extra time on eyeshadow just wasnāt worth it. Next time, itās staying home!

During my travels, I skipped daytime makeup entirely, and on nights out, I kept it minimalājust a touch of light eye or face makeup, or sometimes none at all! The heat made the foundation more of a hassle than it was worth, and honestly, it would just melt off within the hour. Travelling through hot climates, I quickly realized that setting spray, while refreshing, was pretty much uselessāIād sweat it off within minutes! I kept things simple by wearing my necklaces, bracelets, and rings every day without switching them out. Plus, I picked up some beautiful accessories along the way, making extra jewellery completely unnecessary. In hindsight, the jewellery organiser took up valuable space in my luggageā something Iāll skip next time!
