League Championship
Tuesdays August 18 and 25
Tuesdays August 18 and 25
This tournament spans two weeks and both courses. You must play both weeks to qualify for the championship. The tournament awards a low gross winner and low net winner in each flight.
Golfers who sign up to play both weeks are automatically included in the league championship. Handicaps effective before the first round are used for both rounds.
Holes have to be played out (no picking up after 9 strokes). Golfers not competing in the championship (e.g., playing only one of the two weeks) can still pick up after 9 strokes using regular league rules. GPS and other distance measuring devices are allowed in this tournament.
During this tournament, there were no other game of the week, but all players are eligible for birdie and chip-in prizes as well as Closest to the Pin.
In the case of ties, the winner is determined on the basis of the best score for the combined last 9 holes in each of the two days of play. If players involved in a tie had the same score for the back 9 holes, then the combined last 6 holes was used, and then the last 3 holes. If this procedure fails to produce a winner, the same process was applied to the front 9.
