Pick up at 8 strokes if you are not in the hole yet and count it as a 9 (except League Championship where there is no maximum number of strokes)
When a ball lands in a divot on the fairway, players can place their ball one club-head away from the divot, no closer to the hole. Otherwise, play it where it lies.
There is a drop zone used by the League; marked as a white circle. A. Player is not allowed to intentionally hit her tee ball into the pond and then proceed to the drop zone, lying two and hitting three. If her second stroke goes into the pond, she can proceed to the drop zone, lying three, hitting four.
A player is allowed to hit a provisional ball if it is not known or virtually certain that her ball has entered the marsh area in front of the green. If the ball is subsequently found, the player must play that ball.
As you will see on the "Helpful Rules Bag Tag", our league has adopted the optional local rule as Option D. When the ball is out of bounds or lost, this rule states that you can take a two-stroke penalty, estimate where your ball went out of bounds or became lost, and find the nearest fairway edge (not nearer the hole). You then measure two-club lengths into the fairway and drop the ball behind that line, as far back as desired. Note that you cannot also hit a provisional ball.
