We spend way too much time thinking about our bad shots. The Ringer Card helps us celebrate our good shots.
Each week you enter your scores into a spreadsheet and it automatically figures out what was your best score on each hole. At the end of the season, turn in your "ringer card" and we give out prizes to the ringers with the best score in each flight!
The first time you play each course, enter all your scores on the left side under the appropriate date. In subsequent weeks of play, you can either enter all your gross scores or just the ones that are better than any previous score that you posted for that hole. The formulas will automatically pick up the best score for each hole on the right side. Only scores from the Tuesday league play are eligible ringer scores.
At the bottom of this pack we provide two options for you to choose from. You can download an EXCEL file and enter your scores and let EXCEL do the math. Alternatively, if you don't like working with EXCEL you can download the PDF files, write your scores, and do your own math.
Here is a snippet from a prior year as an example. On the first hole on Lakeside, shot a 5 on July 2, but I got a 3 on July 16. The "Best Score" column remembers the 3 even when I shot 4s, 5, and 6 after that. September 18 was an ugly start when I got a 6, but the Ringer game means I just remember that par in July! I like to enter all my scores, but I didn't have to enter the 4s, 5, or 6 after I shot a 3.
On the second hole I had my best score on September 18.
