The purpose of the Welfare/Good function is to help to strengthen the community aspect of the JHWGL. When one of our members is experiencing a difficult situation (serious illness, the loss of a loved one, etc.) we reach out to offer support, encouragement, and connection. The “Sunshine Lady” sends a card/note to the member to help her to feel connected to the group and supported by the other members.
