Closing Day Event
Closing Day is when we celebrate the season on our last league play week. We arrange for split tee times off both courses and have a luncheon after the round. After comparing notes on the most entertaining shots of the round (and the year), we hear remarks from the board and receive the year-end prizes.
Bramble Format:
Bramble Format:
Tee off: All team members tee off.
Select the best drive from all of the tee shots. NOTE: You need 3 drives per player over the round.
All players move their balls to the location of the selected drive.
Finish the hole as stroke play -- each player plays their own ball.
The lowest net score is the team's score.
Your team needs to stroke the cards because we are recording the best net score.
You cannot enter your score into GHIN because we selected different drives.

2025 Closing Day:
We ended 2025 with the Bramble format that combines the best parts of team scramble, individual stroke play, and team best ball. Then we attended a luncheon at Nikki Maloney's house.
This was a special event not only celebrating the 2025 season, but also celebrating 35 years as a league. Throughout the luncheon we had the 35th anniversary slide show running.
