This term we have been developing our KS2-3 transition process. We were kindly welcomed to Mottram Primary School. This enabled us to see the quality of work produced in books, routines in the classroom and the content and structure of Year 5 and 6. Curriculum leaders and departments have been building upon this knowledge and content to ensure that the progression from KS2-3 is challenging and exciting.

We had our first Primary Cluster Event on 14th June 2019. Deputies from Mottram, Stalyhill and Hollingworth visited Longdendale and took part in a working lunch style event. This included presentations from our EBACC subject leaders and plans were put into place for further events and workshop style events.

October 21-23rd is our first Year 7 residential visit to Conway for our new Year 7 learners. Further information will be shared in our Autumn newsletter. This will create a joyful transition and ensure learners develop the vital ’soft’ skills such as problem solving, team-work, resilience and creativity.
