The Year 10 GCSE Drama students have worked particularly hard this year and these final devised performance showcase the techniques, talents and creativity that they have developed.

They have created very topical powerful performances combining a real range of genres based upon the stimuli set by the exam board of the ‘Promise’ quote, and literary quote ‘Jonathan Safran Foer — 'Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living.'

This has been achieved through their characters, genres, lighting, costume design, sound and narratives of their pieces. They have chosen to create Artaudian drama, physical theatre, political theatre, black comedy, satire and abstract stylised performances.

The explored powerful topics such as Escape from Alcatraz, Grenfell Tower, Nazi Germany and Human Rights.
