3 Position Paper Writing -    各サブテーマ全てをA4２枚程度(500字以内にまとめる） サンプル (GW中〜GW明け）

4 Presenting and Getting Feedback -    まとめたものをプレゼンし、フィードバックを得る （5月２週目〜3週目）

5 Editing -    何度も編集を行う（最重要：５月２週目〜３週目）

6 Finalizing -   最終版にまとめて提出（５月末）

2-1 Introduction to Research

2-1-1 Doing Preliminary Research

本日のアクティビティはみなさんのリサーチです。Position Paper(PP)作成のため、前回課題のビデオを再度見て、Background Guideを参考にして、Google検索や図書館データベースで資料収集をスタートしなければなりません。

しかしながら、もともと知識のないものを難しい英語で読んでもなかなか理解するのが難しいのも現実です。そこでJUEMUNへの参加回数が少なく、あまり英語に自信のないみなさんは、まず日本語（あるいは英語からの翻訳で）Global Issuesについて簡単に予備調査(Preliminary Research)をしてみると良いでしょう。

それぞれ自分の担当のMeeting / Committeeについて、簡単に検索エンジンや下記のGenerative AIで調査をして母語（日本語）、あるいは簡単な外国語（英語）で理解してみましょう。

JUEMUN 2026 リサーチガイド (BG付き)

このガイドは、JUEMUN 2026のMeeting 1〜3のBackground Guide (BG) に基づき、CEFR A1–B1レベルの学生がPosition Paperを書くための調査を効果的に進めるためのリサーチガイドです。各ステップには、BGに記載されたページ情報とリソースリンクが含まれています。

✅ Step 1: 情報を集める（BGリサーチ＋外部ツール活用）

BGの「Action Taken」「Key Documents」などのページを読み、重要語・数字・団体名をメモ。

上記の各Meetingのリンクを使って、課題に関する国際的な取り組みを確認。

自国に関係がある内容に注目する。

さらに深く調べたいときは以下のツールも活用：

🔍 Perplexity: 「過去のUN決議」や「[国名] women's rights and gender equality」などで検索し、信頼できる出典とともに回答を得られる。

🤖 JUEMUN Bot / ChatGPT: 「What resolutions has the UN passed on decreasing gender-based pay discrimination?」のように英語で質問して、条約や過去の成功事例を探す。

📊 国際機関の統計ページ: UNWTO, World Bank, UNDRR などで自国または類似国のデータを検索。

これらのツールを使って、背景ガイドを補強する具体例・統計・過去の成功事例を探し、自国の立場をより説得力のあるものにしていきましょう。「Key Documents」などのページを読み、重要語・数字・団体名をメモ。

上記の各Meetingのリンクを使って、課題に関する国際的な取り組みを確認。

自国に関係がある内容に注目する。

情報整理ワークシートに記入：

  • Country Case: 自国での例

  • UN Policy: BGに出てくる条約・枠組み・国連目標

  • Proposal: 「[国名] suggests Member States to ...」で始まる一文を作る

【注意点】

AIで出した結果は、他の方々も似たような結果が得られると思ってください。また今回主催者が出しているテーマにきちんと沿った回答をしてくれているとは限りません。その結果、AIだけを使ってリサーチをしていると、短い時間でアイデアは得られるものの、会議内容に沿った自分のオリジナルアイデアが生み出しにくいという不利な点があります。それを防ぐためには、AIが出した考えを自分がBackground Guideなどにでている文献を使って探した論文・データなどと比較し、自分なりの意見をまとめていく必要があります。そこで次のステップがあります。

Assignments for Next Week

1. Memorize the vocabulary on Teams 「JUEMUN Vocabulary.pdf」 or use Quizlet. There will be a vocabulary Quiz in the next class.

2. Do 課題１ワークシート記入 on Teams(or linked above) and prepare a 2-minute speech using your research. Remember, "prepare" a speech means writing it and practicing it so that you can speak as much as possible without reading. Sample
