Personal Statement 

   Literacy is defined as the ability to read and write and by writing this paper and gaining more knowledge I am improving my literacy skills. Community is a place with people that have shared values and purposes, community was used in creating my personal statement when it came to writing about my professions standards and what was expected of the community that I am going into. Inquiry can be defined as a process of asking questions and testing and revising, this term is incorporated in my piece during the rough draft and final draft process, I got feedback from the professor and a peer and went back and revised my draft. Composing knowledge seeks to support your conversation by having you examine your own writing and learning experiences, This was used in the evidence part of the writing 

        While working on this assignment I got to see how the standards of my profession didn't fall too far from my values now and the values I plan to improve on so I can be the best I can be at what I do. It was nice to see what was expected from everyone going into my desired field. After writing about my personal and professional identities I didn't know how much they intertwined with each other, by me working on a personal goal I'm progressing in my professional goals also.

    I feel as if this sample of writing demonstrates that I know how to write about my aspirations. Writing a rough draft and then getting feedback from a peer and the professor has helped my ability o revise my own texts and edit my paper into a final draft. This paper shows that I didn't have any trouble making sure my writing was appropriate for my professional discourse community. Throughout this paper, I can see that I have well evaluated and given good supporting evidence to any claims whether it is about academic disciplines, professional settings, etc.
