This piece depicts a drone in flight. The opening pizzicato glissando theme depicts the drone taking off. Following this, the odd buzz of the tailpiece marks the beginning of the drone’s motors, continued as a pedal in the theme that utilizes double stops. On its journey, the drone goes out of control and starts to crash, but eventually recovers and lands.
