Summer 2024
In the final course of Southern Utah University's Master of Public Administration program students come together and work on a project in a practical fashion.
This course related to the programs core competencies because it demanded that students lead and work together as a group. In addition, students were tasked with meeting deadlines and delivering a finished product to the town of Rockville.
This course related to the Research and Methods course because it demanded that students use research methods to create a survey for the Town of Rockville. Thus, using software to create and gather surveys was utilized.
Working with a group of students that desired to create and finish a polished product was meaningful. In contrast, in other courses, group work can be a hassle because many of the students do not want to complete the work in a efficient fashion. However, in this course, all students were eager to contribute and work.
Students were placed in groups and tasked to create a survey for the Town of Rockville Utah. This is the group charter.
