In Los Angeles, California on the 8th day of May in the year of 1985, I was the second born child to Regina Patricia Ellis (Illinois) and Stewart Douglas Carew (Trinidad).
I came to Chicago when I was just 15 months old. I grew up in Altgeld Gardens in Block 17. In the absence of my father, my mother, grandmother, uncles, and cousins stood in the gap. I grew up in Bethlehem Temple Missionary Baptist Church where I was baptized and enjoyed being apart of the children's choir (although I couldn't sing). I became reconnected with God and the church at the age of 23. That is when I decided to get really serious about my faith. Since then, God has moved in a mighty way in several areas of my life - most notable, in my career.
