1.1 - Where is Loki?
Comment Thread
Ylva paces in a panic! Surrounding her the trinity sit alongside Fenrir, Saga and Freyja as the silver coated silk speaks in a panicked voice, "Yes, but where is he!?" They seem to be discussing the whereabouts of Loki. While some think he is lost to the void, others think he escaped.. but how is that even possible? Fenrir watched him jump into the void that lay deep within Helheim's Gate. Surely no thing godly or not could survive that?
Depict your Felvarg participating in the meeting, you must include at least 1 other participating alpha above. They could inject, make themselves known, or even spy. Complete this Storybook objective with an entry matching your Felvargs official personality for a 50% chance to trigger a bonus reward varied on your Felvargs response.
1.2 - Saga’s Vision
Comment Thread
Saga searched the Island as she was instructed. There was no sign of Loki anywhere, not that she expected to find The Mad King that easily. As she approached the entrance to Helheim the sun said its last goodbye to the mountains peaks. It was late and she had to rest and regain her strength, Helhiem didn't need any help consuming one in darkness, so what little daylight the sun might offer was welcoming. Saga let out a soft sigh as she curled up on the chilling rocky terrain. She was somewhere between slumber and wake when she drifted. Saga opened her eyes one last time, was she awake? Dreaming? What was that? Eyes peer out of the cave's gloomy entrance, they lit up the path as though broad daylight had returned in mere seconds. Saga perked up, the two pairs of eyes locked for what felt like an eternity. Who was that and why did Saga feel drawn to them, her tabs flicked forward and then back but when she finally blinked the figure had turned and ran back into Helheim at haste. Saga shot up as you turned the corner, "You! Please, please stand guard friend, I'll reward you greatly on my return. No one in or out!" Before you can even reply Saga sprints into the darkness of the cave in a panic.
Depict your Felvarg guarding the entrance of Helheim while Saga explores the figure that surfaced. Complete this Storybook objective with a 250+ word roleplay if the entry is drawn or a sketch of your Felvargs reaction to Sagas request if literature, in your entry for a 50% chance to trigger a bonus reward varied on your Felvargs response. Will your Felvarg guard the entrance or leave confused? Be mindful collaborations will both need to complete their bonus for each Felvarg.
1.3 - Urgent Call: Missing!
Comment Thread
Something is wrong, very wrong. You take note of a notice pasted all over the villages. Fenrir calls for aid wherever he can find it. Saga has gone missing, it has been days since she has been seen and Bjorn and Saga's pack are in sheer panic. You saw her just the other night, she was acting very peculiar near Hellheim's Gate. Something is not sitting right with you and so you deliver the news to Fenrir. Where could she have gone? Perhaps you should explore Hellheim's Gate? Or maybe you will check somewhere else on the Island? Maybe off the island? There is a reward for anyone who can aid in her safe return. Bjorn is worried she has been captured by Loki or his followers, while others believe she is injured or lost. Lost? Saga has traversed these lands for thousands of years, surely she wouldn't abandon her pack? Surely she knows the Island like the back of her paw? You saw her go into Hellheim's Gate just days prior but she returned? Where is she?
Depict your Felvarg searching for Saga, where could she be? Your reaction and where you search will GREATLY depend on your result and reward. Think carefully and act accordingly.
1.4 - Resources Needed!
Comment Thread
Whether you found out for yourself by braving the depths of Hellheim, or found out through rumors, Saga has been located. After being missing for well over two weeks, it turns out she had jumped into the void of Hellheim and was roaming the lands of Helvalla. Now that you're aware of her whereabouts, you head back to Fenrir to deliver the news. The Alphas while confused, will be relieved that Saga is alive and well. Saga has requested a favor from you, she needs supplies to aid in the rebellion, and while Helvalla is bountiful in them, it would be obvious to their enemies they are building an army if supplies on the Island began to drain without reason. This would surely raise alarm bells. Saga insists Ulfrheim is the only way for them to prepare even further without notice. She is after something very specific, white clover. White clover is a popular plant that grows plentiful upon the meadow, deep within The Vale of Whispers. White clover is known for its healing properties, it will prove extremely useful during the battle they inevitably face. Travel to The Vale of Whispers and collect as much white clover as you can carry, return to Helvalla and deliver the goods to Saga, and in return she will reward you generously for your aid. The Vale of Whispers is no place for the weak-willed, its tall grass is a host of a great many dangers. Often Felvargs explore the vast meadow only to never be seen again. Be cautious on your travels friend. Saga insists your safety is paramount.
Depict your Felvarg searching the Vale of Whispers for white clover. The meadow is vast and endless.
1.5 - Recruits Needed!
Comment Thread
As Loki and his army flee, you turn towards Saga, who gives you a knowing look. Before she can say anything though, Aurora and Odin come to join you. You are dwarfed by the massive titan, who looks down at you with his blood red eyes. You cannot help but look away, intimidated by the sheer mass of this Felvarg. "I have heard much about you, little one. Thank you for your assistance, but this is far from over," he said, his very voice making the ground quake around you. You look towards Aurora, who nods along. "This battle is far from won. It is, in fact, only the beginning." You gaze in wonder at this Felvarg, wondering just how long he has been hiding here in Helvalla. How long have they been in this new world, waiting to rise up against Loki? So many questions swirl in your head, but before you can ask any, he moves on. "We need help now more than ever. You know the lands of Ulfrheim well. Go, seek out those you trust dearly, and tell them about us. Bring them here. Quickly, we don't have much time!" His booming commands send you running towards the portal, no hesitation in your steps. If a simple command like that can set you in motion, you didn't dare stick around to see what his anger could do.
Depict your Felvarg recruiting another Felvarg and bringing them to Helvalla. Be it another players Felvarg or your own, show how your Felvarg may convince them to join the rebellion.
-or-
As you sneak back through the portal and stop to catch your breath, you realize the information you have been given. You now know the camp, about Odin, and his plans. With a glance into the depths of Helheims Gate, a smile crossed your maw. Loki and his army set up headquarters there not to long ago, where you had spied his plans for the battle not too long ago. You could bring him this information, and join his army, betraying the rebellion.
Depict your Felvarg bringing this information to Loki and his army, joining forces with him and betraying Saga. What side will you fight for?
1.6 - Approaching Storm
Comment Thread
The sun sets low over the horizon by the time that Odin and Aurora find you. They both dip their head in greeting, a somber look on both their faces. Odin is the first to speak, his low baritone rumbling your very soul. "Loki has harnessed the energy of Helvalla. This world exists on Fel magic, and he has corrupted it to make super soldiers," his whisper seemed delicate, and yet still enough power to make you quiver. Super soldiers? Fel magic? "He has turned this world's energy against us, and I fear his creations will answer only to him," Odin said, gazing at the dark cloud that only grows on the horizon. Aurora steps forward, her shoulders set. "Unless we can turn them and get them to pledge allegiance to the rebellion... well, we must be aware. Please, remain watch on this hill, and alert us at the first sign of movement."
Depict your Felvarg standing watch on the hill, awaiting the storm that is brewing on the horizon.
-or-
Loki gazes at you from where he made you pause, maw alight with all sorts of mischief. "They have no idea of what's to come, or that you have swapped sides. Quickly, return to Helvalla and alert me of the Rebellion's movements.".
Depict your Felvarg spying on the Rebellion as they await the arrival of Loki's army. What side will you fight for?
1.7 - Which Path?
Comment Thread
As you sit upon the crest of the hill, you cannot help shake the feeling that you saw something as the storm grows ever closer. Could it have been a mere trick of the eye, since you were so lost in thought over everything that had happened? But as the night grows ever longer, the feeling cannot be shaken. Your eyes constantly scan the horizon, praying that whatever it was, if it was at all real, would show up again. At last, a flash of movement catches your eye off to the left of you. You quickly leap to your paws and turn in its direction, seeing the Felvarg shaped shadow disappear into a copse of trees. Without hesitation, you rush down the hill and onto the wooded path that you saw the shape vanish into. The storm overhead has made the lands dark, elongating the shadows around you. Cautiously, you follow the trail, your hair standing on end at the static energy that seems to be coursing around you. You hesitate at a fork in the road, unsure of which path to take. Before you can make up your mind, a twig snaps behind you, leaving you to spin on your heels. As you turn, you come face to face with a large, pale grey Felvarg. At least, what you think is a Felvarg... He looks down at you with icy white eyes, glowing a soft blue in the dim light. A large scar marks his chest, and at once you stand ready to defend yourself. The strangers pose, however, is far from threatening. In fact, it is quite the opposite, and he stands relaxed, but proudly, before you. Before any words can leave your mouth, he speaks first, his deep voice vibrating against your chest. "You are?" Guarded, but at ease by this beast, you go to introduce yourself. You exchange names, leaving him to introduce himself. Hakon. His name rings in your mind, but before you can speak anything to it, screams sound far off in the distance. In a breath, Hakon vanishes, leaving you alone in the darkness. You're left with a choice now, follow him into the forest, or return to base to see what the commotion is about?
Depict your Felvarg either running into the woods after Hakon, or returning back to base camp to see what caused the screams.
1.8 - Means to an End
Comment Thread
The earth cannot keep up with the amount of rain falling, turning all of Helvalla into a muddy swamp. Cries of war ring out, the battle waits no longer. The stench of blood is strong enough to be tasted over the dampness of the lands, tainting every breath you draw with its coppery scent. Loki's army collides with the rebellion, the Felvarg's around you turning into a blur as you try your best to focus on your own opponent. But in the mere blink of an eye, they are gone, and you stand alone in the very center of the once strong hold, watching it tumble down in ruins around you. Just off to your left, you see a flash of grey, and turn to see that Hakon is standing on the rise of the hill just beyond you. You try to focus on him, but the strength of the rain makes it impossible. However, the more you focus on him, the more you feel your mind tuning with his own. Suddenly, the battle fades away, and you find yourself standing beside him on the hill. The rain as stopped, and all is calm. You turn to look at Hakon in shock, only to see that he is facing you with an all-knowing smile. "Fear not, this will only take a moment of your time," he said, his voice sounding within your head instead of through your ears. "I am Vali," he said, though you knew that had to be a lie. You knew that this was Hakon, as he had introduced himself in the forest before the war broke out. You shake your head in denial, but he only nods in return. "Loki has trapped Hakon within me. Our two souls share this body. We are Hakon, and we are Vali. Listen closely, I don't have much time," You don't want to believe him, but you find yourself leaning closer. "Hakon is confused, and in that moment of weakness, Loki has brainwashed him and tricked him into being on his side. However, I want peace, and nothing of this war. Now quickly, tell Fenrir of my news!" Just as quickly as it had appeared, the dream melted away. You were once again being pelted by rain, your next opponent rising to face you. Now in the haze of your discovery, one last question remains. Will you side with Loki, warn him of Vali's betrayal and help him win the crescent throne? Or will you do as he heeds, and tell Fenrir of the news, and fight so that the rebellion may take it's place on the throne?
Depict your Felvarg making their choice and fighting for Loki, or Fenrir, amongst the raided camp.

Comment Thread
After the disappearance of the Mad King Loki, the lands of Helvalla still quake at random. There is no known cause, and no signs to when they will strike. The locals live in constant fear, not only of the earthquakes, but of the mysterious disappearance of Loki and all of his Hellhounds. All would be too uncomfortably quiet if not for the rumbles that vibrate under your paws. Still the throne lays unclaimed, and everyone is asking who shall be the one to sit upon it. There is a certain air of wariness that looms over Helvalla, with still so many questions left unanswered. It is during this time that Fenrir tasks you with exploring the new lands of Helvalla to see what you can find out. Your focus since finding this new land had been the rebellion, so exploring it was not yet something that you had been able to do. Despite the unease that fills you, you cannot help but feel a little excited at the prospect of learning more about these lands and all the wonders that it holds. Fenrir tells you of a spring that lays in the northern reaches of Helvalla, which flows over a mountainous peak called the Weeping Oasis. A being named Neebo resides at the crest of the Oasis, and he urges you to seek him out. There is little else that he can tell you, as just like you, he is a newcomer to these lands. He is only passing on what little he could gather from the locals, which leaves you with very little to go off of. But apparently this Neebo has the answers on what is happening to the world of Helvalla, and why its very core seems to be collapsing into itself. He warns you that Neebo may indeed be only a folk tale, given the fact that no one has actually seen him, but it's the only lead that your party has. And so you set off with what provisions you could manage to scrounge up, hoping that the earth didn't split open and swallow you whole during your travels.
Depict your Felvarg walking through the Weeping Oasis. The springs here glow softly. The water is hot to the touch and mist rise from its surface as the peaks are glazed over in snow, its waters are cloaking the whole area in a blanket of warmth. Butterflies flutter from flower to flower, glowing a wonderful shade of gold. In the middle of the spring, there is a mighty Shrine, looking altogether abandoned and worn. Step upon it if you dare, and attempt to summon Neebo, whatever or whomever that may be.
2.2 - Voice of Reason
Comment Thread
Fenrir and the others are back at the cyclone, no one had bothered to mention how long this journey would take to the Weeping Oasis and you only just had a moment to realize you now had to go back the same way you came. How exhausting, at least you had a moment to appreciate the scenery and explore it fluidly enough for things to start to look familiar. The sun had began setting and soon darkness would consume Helvalla whole. Familiar or not Helvalla was no place to explore the forests in the dead of night. That was clear in the fact when night had set in the lands fell so quiet that even the chirps of the crickets would fall silence in fear had the breeze drawn direction too rapidly. Up ahead you spot a cave, trees split from its entrance almost shielding it from the blind eye and had one not explored it with intent to get inside it, it would have been completely missed. You turn to look behind you, its even darker now and whofel knows when you will have another opportunity like this to seek coverage from the bump in the Helvallian night. You're left with no choice but to:
STOP! At this stage you must choose option a or b before creating your entry!
A.) You're left with no choice but to take a risk and seek coverage. The cave's entrance is dark but you can see some light up ahead, this could be an unnatural light source or alternatively it could be the ground overhead splitting and causing the sunset to pour into the cave offering it some visual. You pause to listen, but the cave is dead silence, not a squeak not a whisper, not even the breeze could be felt while shielded within. The smell is musky and floral, while it's hard to see the cave is filled with foliage, flora, mushrooms, moss, it consumed the mouth and guts of the cave so much so, it was soft to the touch to step on the cool ground beneath your paws. It would make a soft place to lay your head but was it safe? You would later find out what the Mouth of Linnaea had to offer.
B.) You're left with no choice, the cave is dark and ominous and there is no way you could know if anyone resided inside, soon the night would draw in and with the cave would be in total darkness, your opponent(s) would have the upper paw, making it extremely difficult to defend yourself, the risk is too great. Carry on through the forest in Helvalla, while where you currently were filled the forest with beauty and grace, an abundance of flora, up ahead lie Myrkvidor, otherwise known as the Dark Woods, this forest had no need for such a name, anyone with eyes would call it such without reputation. The forest is dead, the trees so wide and large it would take 3fel to wrap around them, so spread apart it nearly felt like a meadow in places, the tree's weep and creak as though they are in pain and suffering. You find a large hollow in a tree just up ahead, hide within for coverage from the night.
Objective A: Depict your Felvarg just about to enter into the Caves of Linnaea (Lynn ay ya), the smell is musky and floral, while it's hard to see the cave is filled with foliage, flora, mushrooms, moss, it consumed the mouth and guts of the cave so much so, it was soft to the touch to step on the cool ground beneath your paws.
Objective B: Depict your Felvarg tucked within the hollow of a gigantic tree within the Forest of Myrkvidor (Mirk va dor) The forest is dead, the trees so wide and large it would take 3fel to wrap around them, so spread apart it nearly felt like a meadow in places, the tree's weep and creak as though they are in pain and suffering.
2.3 - The Great Collapse
Comment Thread
Spring has sprung in Ulfrheim, and even on Helvalla the roots within the Helvallian grounds had sprouted. If only this bliss could remain, it was easy for one to forget the quakes that rumbled beneath our very paws as the birds and bees distracted us. Felvargs all over the new Island were eager to traverse and explore Helvalla. Now the war had subsided a lot of questions were left unanswered. Loki no longer sits upon The Crescent Throne. Whispers could be heard in the darkness as to who would take his place. Neebo had spoken about balance. What was he talking about? What balance? All you knew is the message when delivered to Fenrir caused further confusion and the quakes that shook Helvalla now began to shake Ulfrheim as well. They came with little to no warning and each one was even more brutal than the last. To make matters worse the grounds had begun to split in places causing craters to form without warning. The Great Father has called forth a meeting everyone must attend.
Fenrir stands upon the bridge that crosses overtop of the void, "This very void allows us to travel between Ulfrheim and Helvalla." His voice was deep yet proud as he paced the bridge, "It becomes increasingly difficult to move between the Islands." He was right, there were rumors somefel when trying to cross between the Islands were halted, the void not taking them either way. It was almost as if the void was closing, which caused a level of anxiety between locals and travelers alike. The giant direwolf turns now chest puffed, "We must find Aurora!" Aurora had snuck off in the night, for some reason without a word she packed a bag and disappeared in the nearby forest traveling north. Take Saga, and anyone you can trust to track her footsteps, it is imperative you locate Aurora and escort her back to camp to address the void collapsing. Locals to Helvalla spot Loki observing from a distance, it was the first time he had be seen since the war had subsided. While being cautious not to get close to the void or camp, he could be seen watching from nearby locations that offered him height, and sight. Locals casted speculation that he was attempting to reach the void and leave Helvalla, and some even discussed how they thought it would be best if he had. Naturally Ulfrheim born Felvargs felt differently.
Depict your Felvarg traversing The Briar in search of Aurora. Your Felvarg should appear to be tracking the female Felvarg. She appears to be trying to throw you off by giving mixed signals in her tracks. This means she is aware she is being tracked.
Travel north with Saga towards The Crescent Throne, just before the volcano itself sits a forest known as The Briar. This forest used to be filled with berserkers. Helvallian Felvargs who would prey on the more fortunate as they traveled through the forest and to The Crescent Throne. For nearly 100 years now the forest has been under the protection of what locals are calling The Wayward Divergent. Which is a band of Felvargs led by one, these Felvargs protect The Briar ensuring safe passage. Track down Aurora and insist she be escorted back to the void to address the quaking issue at hand.
