Born to a Lightbearer father and a Lightless mother, Arwan had been immersed in Guardian culture all his life, and began training at an early age. Early on Arwan chose the path of a Hunter - which only slightly disappointed his father, a Sunbreaker Titan.

For many years Arwan served the Vanguard as a both a Ranger and Bladedancer - though it wasn't until he learned to harness Void that he found his calling. However, like all those who touch the Void, he lost something of himself, though he never admitted what it was. As a result, his wanderlust became unbearable and not even the vast island of his birth could sate it anymore.

With this calling he couldn't ignore, he requested to leave their island and ensure the Darkness they had found there had not spread to other places. After much deliberation, the Vanguard allowed him to return to their ancestral home of Ulfrheim. After many weeks spent in transit he arrived, and found a very different place from the old stories.

It wasn't long after he arrived that he found a young Raliya, starving and alone. He had intended to find her a family to raise her, but when he sensed the Light within her, he kept her to raise as his own. He trained her in the Guardian Tenets, basic survival skills, and combat. He taught her the skills of each Guardian Class and it was decided early that she would be better suited to a Hunter's Path.

When Raliya finished her training and came of age, Arwan gifted her a new cloak to replace her apprentice hood and awarded her, her Hunter's Paints. Shortly after the pair joined in a hunt to find a beast of a bear that had been terrorizing a nearby town. Sadly, Arwan did not survive this encounter, and was killed by the beast.

Raliya, after finding Arwan's body and the beast no where in sight, mourned him and replaced her cloak with his. Several weeks later, and after a hard and bloody battle, the beast was felled by Raliya fangs. She wears his cloak now as a promise to honor him and his way of life. Arwan's Hunter's Blade (dubbed Arwan's Bite) and armor (dubbed Aegis of the Fallen) was retrieved by Raliya afterwards, repaired and resized to fit her.
