This page is meant to help you write up insanely large illion numbers in as many tiers as I possibly can fit here! This'll be comprehensive as I discover more about how these work. This is also meant as a way to understand how these work, just as I'm learning too!
When I can, I'll make a big list of the 1st through 999th illion in each tier, to be able to understand this pattern better.
[Please let me know if there is an error in this page, or if there's a better way to display this info.]
Now, if you want to abbreviate all of this instead, then I would recommend looking at this document by Gamer Googol, but be warned that after Tier 4, the illions are different.
TIER 1
Ones:
M | B | Tr | Quadr | Quint | Sext | Sept | Oct | Non
Addon:
Un | Duo | Tre | Quattuor | Quin | Sex | Septen | Octo | Novem
Tens:
Dec | Vigint | Trigint | Quadragint | Quinquagint | Sexagint | Septuagint | Octogint | Nonagint
Hundreds:
Cent | Ducent | Trecent | Quadringent | Quingent | Sescent | Septingent | Octingent | Nongent
The order after the 10th Tier 1 illion is: addon+tens+hundreds
Make sure when adding tens after the hundreds that dec and vigint has an i after it,
and an a after the rest.
2nd illion is Billion, 11th illion is Undecillion, 37th illion is Septentrigintillion,
112th illion is Duodecicentillion, 236th illion is Sextrigintaducentillion, etc.
But hold up! You may notice something here. You'll probably question why Trecentillion is the 300th illion, but when you go to make the 103rd illion, it's also named Trecentillion. What gives?
Well, for here, you'll add an s after Tre, so you'll get Trescentillion, the 103rd illion.
You can also avoid this problem if you use Tri instead of Tre, so you'll get Tridecillion as the 13th illion. There's multiple ways to fix this problem, but these are two of those solutions.
TIER 2
Ones:
Mill | Micr | Nan | Pic | Femt | Att | Zept | Yoct | Ront
Addon:
Me | Due | Trio | Tetre | Pente | Hexe | Hepte | Octe | Enne
Tens:
Quect | Icos | Triacont | Tetracont | Pentacont | Hexaconti | Heptacont | Octacont | Ennacont
Hundreds:
Hect | Dohect | Triahect | Tetrahect | Pentahect | Hexahect | Heptahect | Octahect | Ennahect
The order after the 20th Tier 2 illion is: addon+tens+hundreds
Please note that earlier in this pages' existence, 9th Tier 2 illion was Xonillion, and 10th Tier 2 illion is Vecillion. However, these were made before 2022, which was when the SI prefixed Ronna and Quetta were introduced.
After Rontillion, you will first put the addon onto "illion", then add a "c" between them. This makes the 11th Tier 2 illion Mecillion, along with the 12th Tier 2 illion Duecillion, 13th Tier 2 illion Trecillion, etc.
Once you get to Icosillion, just add the addons to the illions.
21st Tier 2 illion is Meicosillion, 22nd Tier 2 illion is Dueicosillion, 31st Tier 2 illion is Metriacontillion, etc.
After that, when adding tens after the hundreds, there should be an i after Quect and Icos,
and an a after the rest.
You can combine Tier 1 illions with Tier 2 illions by putting a hyphen between each Tier 2 illion.
But for ones on its own after the 1,000th Tier 1 illion, you use these:
[Blank] | Du | Tre | Quadri | Quin | Sex | Septi | Octi | Noni
So 1,000th Tier 1 illion is Millillion, 2,000th Tier 1 illion is Dumillillion, etc.
After that, the same Tens and Hundreds pattern apply here.
So 10,000th Tier 1 illion is Decimillillion, 25,000th Tier 1 illion is Quinvigintimillillion, etc.
When you write illions like 1,001st Tier 1 illion, you put the Tier 1 illion after the Tier 2 illion, and put a hyphen between them like so: Milli-million.
241,497,652nd Tier 1 illion is:
Unquadragintaducentimicri-Septennonagintaquadringentimilli-Duoquinquagintasescentillion
7th Tier 2 illion is Zeptillion, 21st Tier 2 illion is Meicosillion, 43rd Tier 2 illion is Tretetracontillion,
76th Tier 2 illion is Hexeheptacontillion, 111th Tier 2 illion is Mecihectillion, 432nd Tier 2 illion is Duetriacontatetrahectillion, etc.
TIER 3
This is where it really starts to get more complicated from here on.
This tier introduces brackets into the tens, and the teens are added before 20.
Ones:
Kill | Meg | Gig | Ter | Pet | Ex | Zett | Yott | Ronn
Teens:
Hend | Dok | Tradak | Tedak | Pedak | Exdak | Zedak | Yodak | Nedak
Addon:
en | od | tr | ter | pet | ect | zet | yot | ron
Tens:
Quett | I(k/c) | Tra(k/c) | Te(k/c) | Pe(k/c) | Exa(k/c) | Za(k/c) | Yo(k/c) | Ne(k/c)
Hundreds:
Hot | Bot | Trot | Tot | Pot | Exot | Zot | Yoot | Not
Like before, the 9th Tier 3 illion and 10th Tier 3 illion were made before Ronna and Quetta became standard, so it's hard to gauge what this does to Bowers' illion system.
This is structured differently. The Teens are used only when the tens digit is 1, and they are used after Ronnillion.
So 10th Tier 3 illion is Quettillion, 11th Tier 3 illion is Hendillion, 12th Tier 3 illion is Dokillion, etc up until Nedakillion, the 19th Tier 3 illion.
After that, the tens are placed after the addon, and the letters in the parentheses depend on the ones digit. If the ones digit is 0, 1, 6, or 8, use k. If the ones digit is 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, or 9, use c.
Examples:
20th Tier 3 illion is Ikillion, 21st Tier 3 illion is Ikenillion, 22nd Tier 3 illion is Icodillion,
23rd Tier 3 illion is Ictrillion, 24th Tier 3 illion is Icterillion, 26th Tier 3 illion is Ikectillion, etc.
The pattern here is added after the hundreds are added, so...
110th Tier 3 illion is Hotquettillion, 121st Tier 3 illion is Hotikenillion,
232nd Tier 3 illion is Bottracodillion, 473rd Tier 3 illion is Totzactrillion, etc.
Because the hundreds are added before the ones and tens, there's no separator letter here, but when combining tiers of illions, it always has an i before the hyphen or closing parentheses.
As for combining Tiers 1 and 2 with Tier 3, there's parentheses that houses the Tier 2 and 3 words, like Novemquadragintaducenti(Hexetriacontatetrahectri-Exotnekecti)-Ducentillion.
Don't worry, you'll almost never have to do this from here on.
TIER 4
Now the difficulty in writing these illions are really starting to ramp up fast.
After a while, CompactStar's extension of these illions were updated, which I had help doing. These should be up to date.
Ones:
Kal | Mej | Gij | Ast | Lun | Ferm | Jov | Sol | Bet
Teens:
Gax | Sup | Vers | Mult | Met | Xev | Hyp | Omn | Out
Addon:
al | ej | ij | ast | un | erm | ov | ol | et
Tens:
Gloc | Barr | Gic | Asc | Luc | Ferc | Joc | Soc | Bec
Hundreds:
Cet | Meet | Git | Ascet | Lut | Fert | Jot | Sot | Beet
Like with Tier 3, Teens are applied when the tens digit is 1, and are used after Betillion.
This means that 10th Tier 4 illion is Glocillion, 11th Tier 4 illion is Gaxillion,
12th Tier 4 illion is Supillion, etc until Outillion, the 19th Tier 4 illion.
After the 20th Tier 4 illion, the most-significant words go first.
Examples:
21st Tier 4 illion is Barralillion, 22nd Tier 4 illion is Barrejillion, 33rd Tier 4 illion is Gicijillion, 101st Tier 4 illion is Cetalillion, 273rd Tier 4 illion is Meetjocijillion, etc.
TIER 5
This is CompactStar's Extension to the illion system. These have been completely reworked and are different from the old version.
Ones:
Unv | Duv | Et | Cuv | Quiv | Swiv | Pryv | Oiv | En
Addon:
un | du | et | cuv | quiv | swiv | pryv | oiv | en
Teens:
Ev | Twiv
Tens:
Ek | Lan | Etk | Cuk | Quik | Swik | Pryk | Oik | Enk
Hundreds:
Evaf | Duvaf | Etaf | Cuvaf | Quivaf | Swivaf | Pryvaf | Oivaf | Envaf
Unlike the old version, Teens have been added to this tier.
Ones apply the same way it has been. 1st Tier 5 illion is Unvillion, 2nd Tier 5 illion is Duvillion, etc.
The teens work different here. After the 10th Tier 5 illion, the 2 teens are used, and from the 13th Tier 5 illion onward, insert the addon between the 1st ten (in this case, its Ek) and the "illion" part.
So the 13th Tier 5 illion is Eketillion, 14th Tier 5 illion is Ekcuvillion, etc.
After the 20th Tier 5 illion, the addon is added between the Tens and the "illion" part.
So 21st Tier 5 illion is Lanunillion, 22nd Tier 5 illion is Landuillion,
32nd Tier 5 illion is Etkduillion, etc.
The hundreds are added before everything else, so 101st Tier 5 illion is Evafunvillion, 146th Tier 5 illion is Evafcukswivillion, 285th Tier 5 illion is Duvafoikquivillion, etc.
TIER 6
Again, this is CompactStar's Extension to the illion system.
Ones:
Hapax | Dis | Tris | Tetrakis | Pentakis | Hexakis | Heptakis | Octakis | Enneakis
Addon 1x:
Hen | Do | Tri | Tetra | Penta | Hexa | Hepta | Octa | Enna
Addon 2x+:
hena | dodeca/di | tri | tetra | penta | hexa | hepta | octa | enna
Tens:
Decakis | Icosakis | Triacontakis | Tetracontakis | Pentacontakis | Hexacontakis | Heptacontakis | Octacontakis | Enneacontakis
Hundreds:
Hecatakis | Diacosakis | Triacosakis | Tetracosakis | Pentacosakis | Hexacosakis | Heptacosakis | Octacosakis | Enneacosakis
Now, this looks identical to the prefixes shape names use, so I'll interpret Addon 1x and
Addon 2x+ as different things.
When the tens digit is 1, the Addon 1x is used and is applied before the tens.
Example:
11th Tier 6 illion is Hendecakisillion, 12th Tier 6 illion is Dodecakisillion, etc until Ennadecakisillion, the 19th Tier 6 illion.
When the tens digit is 2 or higher, the Addon 2x+ is used and is applied between here:
[Tens][Addon 2x+]kis. Change Icosa to Icosi when the ones digit is between 1-9.
If the tens digit is 2, use dodeca. If the tens digit is 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, use di.
Example:
21st Tier 6 illion is Icosihenakisillion, 22nd Tier 6 illion is Icosidodecakisillion, 32nd Tier 6 illion is Triacontadikisillion, 43rd Tier 6 illion is Tetracontatrikisillion, etc.
Ignoring the "kis" part, the hundreds are added first before the rest.
Example:
120th Tier 6 illion is Hecataicosakisillion, 212th Tier 6 illion is Discosadodecakisillion,
355th Tier 6 illion is Triacosapentecontapentakisillion, etc.
TIER 7
This tier, on the original version, had two extensions combined into one, Aarex's Extension that only has one illion, and MrRedShark77's Extension that extends the rest.
However, the new version is now remade by CompactStar again, which uses German numbers.
Ones:
Ein | Zwe | Dre | Veir | Funf | Sech | Seiben | Acht | Neun
Addon:
Einund | Zweiund | Dreiund | Veirund | Funfund | Sechsund | Seibenund | Achtund | Neunund
Teens:
Elf | Zwolf | Dreizehn | Veirzehn | Funfzehn | Sechzehn | Seibzehn | Achtzehn | Neunzehn
Tens:
Zehn | Zwanzig | Dreisig | Veirzig | Funfzig | Sechzig | Seibzig | Achtzig | Neunzig
Hundreds:
Hundert | Zweihundert | Dreihundert | Veirhundert | Funfhundert | Sechshundert | Seibenhundert | Achthundert | Neunhundert
Teens, like usual, are between 11th to 19th Tier 7 illions.
11th Tier 7 illion is Elfillion, 12th Tier 7 illion is Zwolfillion, etc.
The order for combining these are: hundred + addon + ten after 20th Tier 7 illion.
21st Tier 7 illion is Einundzwanzigillion, 22nd Tier 7 illion is Zweiundzwanzigillion, etc.
Examples with hundreds:
116th Tier 7 illion is Hundertsechzehnillion, 135th Tier 7 illion is Hundertfunfunddreisigillion, etc.
TIER 8
This tier originally was with elements, but again, CompactStar replaces this.
These ones are based on Sanskrit numbers.
Ones:
Ekam | Dv | Trin | Chatur | Panch | Shat | Sapt | Asht | Nav
Addon:
Eka | Dva | Trayo | Chatur | Pancha | Sho | Sapta | Ashta | Nava
Tens:
Dash | Vimshat | Trimshat | Chatvarimshat | Panchashat | Shast | Saptat | Ashit | Navat
Hundreds:
Shatam | Dvishatam | Trishatam | Chaturshatam | Panchashatam | Shatshatam | Saptashatam | Ashtashatam | Navashatam
Addons are on top of tens. Hundreds are on top of everything else.
15th Tier 8 illion is Panchadashillion, 25th Tier 8 illion is Panchavimshatillion, 110th Tier 8 illion is Shatamdashillion, 365th Tier 8 illion is Trishatampanchashastillion, etc.
TIER 9
Originally was planets, replaced with Mandarin number based illions.
Ones:
Yin | Er | San | Sin | Wun | Liun | Qin | Ban | Jiun
Tens:
Shin | Ershin | Sanshin | Sishin | Wushin | Liushin | Qishin | Bashin | Jiushin
Hundreds:
Bain | Erbain | Sanbain | Sibain | Wubain | Liubain | Qibain | Babain | Jiubain
This is the start of the tiers that actually has these replace the ending letter of tens and hundreds when combining them together.
10th Tier 9 illion is Shinillion, 11th Tier 9 illion is Shiyinillion, 12th Tier 9 illion is Shierillion, 21st Tier 9 illion is Ershiyinillion, 34th Tier 9 illion is Sanshisinillion, 180th Tier 9 illion is Baibashinillion, etc.
TIER 10
The last actual tier before a new system takes its' place.
These ones are based on Vietnamese numbers.
Ones:
Mot | Hain | Bav | Bon | Nam | Saun | Bay | Tam | Chin
Tens:
Muoin | Haimuoin | Bavmuoin | Bonmuoin | Namuoin | Saumuoin | Baymuoin | Tamuoin | Chinmuoin
Hundreds:
Tram | Haitram | Bavtram | Bontram | Namtram | Sautraum | Baytram | Tamtram | Chintram
Again, this tier has these illions replace the ending letter of tens and hundreds when combined.
10th Tier 10 illion is Muoinillion, 11th Tier 10 illion is Muoimotillion, 25th Tier 10 illion is Haimuoilamillion, 137th Tier 10 illion is Tramuoibayillion, etc.
TIER 11+
Now, while we can keep making unique illion tiers forever, what about going much faster with an illion notation? Well, you're about to see something crazy here.
We're going to combine our previous tier, the 10th tier, with Indonesian-based numbers that'll count entire TIERS of illions! These are also known as "Tetrational illions".
Addon: [pre-20th]
Sebelas | Duabelas | Tigabelas | Empatbelas | Limabelas | Enambelas | Tujuhbelas | Delapanbelas | Sembilanbelas
Addon: [post 20th]
Uhsat | Uhd | Uhtig | Uhempat | Uhlim | Uhenam | Uhtuj | Uhdelapan | Uhsembilan
Tens:
Pul | Duapul | Tigapul | Empatpul | Limapul | Enampul | Ttujuhpul | Delapanpul | Sembilanpul
Hundreds:
Ratus | Duaratus | Tigaratus | Empatratus | Limaratus | Enamratus | Tujuhratus | Delapanratus | Esembilanratus
There is an extra thousandth illion here, which is: Rib.
The pre-20th tier addons should be used first before proceeding to combine these words together. Again, these are used in conjunction with the tier 10 words. Well, here's some examples with these illions:
23rd Tier 12 illion is Haimuoinbavduabelasillion, 11th Tier 22 illion is Muoinmotduapuluhdillion,
93rd Tier 85 illion is Chinmuoinbavdelapanpuluhlimillion, 30th Tier 111 illion is Bavtramratussebelasillion, 22nd Tier 385 illion is Haimuointigaratusdelapanpuluhlimillion (phew, that is a mouthful), 10th Tier 1,000 illion is Muoinribillion, etc.
Oh, I haven't even mentioned the thousands yet.
There's only one known official addon from CompactStar, which I already mentioned.
If we want to break out larger illions before going into three-entry zillions, then we'll have to make them ourselves.
For me, I'll use French numbers for illions in z(1, y). rib is z(1, 1,000), and these are tier 1 illions of y.
Ones:
Un | Duex | Trois | Quatr | Cinq | Seix | Soit | Huit | Neuf
Addon:
On | Dou | Trei | Quator | Quinz | Sei | Soiz | Hui | Neu
Tens:
Dix | Vingt | Trent | Quarant | Cinquant | Seixant | Seitant | Huitant | Neufant
Hundreds:
Cents | Duecents | Troiscents | Quatrents | Cinqents | Seixents | Soitents | Huitents | Neucents
For combining the earlier prefixes with our current ones, post-20th addons are used for the zeros (01 to 09), Sepuluh is used for the tenth number (1,010, for instance), and then all the remaining prefixes after that.
Without the added Tier 10 illion prefixes, the examples are:
Tier 1,002 illions are -ribuhdillion, Tier 1,010 illions are -ribsepuluhillion, Tier 1,124 illions are
-ribratusduapaluhempatillion, etc.
For Tiers 2,000, 3,000, etc., we use these addons on the left of the rib prefix:
Dua | Tiga | Empat | Lim | Ena | Tuju | Dele | Sembi | Sepu (10,000)
Then the previous pre-20th-tier addons from earlier are applied without the "las" part, and then all the remaining ones are applied like normal. This is applied to all the above prefixes as well.
No "t" when adding tens to the hundreds.
1st Tier (1st Tier 1 illion or 1 million) illion is Motunillion, 1st Tier (2nd Tier 1 illion or 1 billion) illion is Motduexillion, 1st Tier (3rd Tier 1 illion or 1 trillion) illion is Mottroisillion, 1st Tier (10th Tier 1 illion) illion is Motdixillion, 1st Tier (22nd Tier 1 illion) illion is Motdouvingtillion, 1st Tier (132nd Tier 1 illion) illion is Motdoutrencentsillion, etc.
All of these are also Motmimixillion, Motbimixillion, Mottrimixillion, Motdecimixillion, Motduovigintimixillion, and Motduotrigintacentimixillion, respectively, due to adding tier 1 prefixes to a new suffix "imix" before the "illion" part. This is how we get Tier: (1st Tier 2 illion) illions and beyond. 1st Tier (1st Tier 2 illion) illion is Motmicrimixillion, 1st Tier (1st Tier 3 illion) illion is Motkillimixillion, 1st Tier (1st Tier 4 illion) illion is Motkalimixillion, etc.
To avoid ambiguity, once we hit the 1st Tier (1st Tier 10 illion) illion, the outer "Mot" part is separated with a hyphen from the inner "Mot" part, making this Mot-Motimixillion.
When we get to Tier: (1st Tier 1,000 illion) illions, Mot-Motribimixillion is shortened to Motmibixillion, since the "m" in "mix" can be replaced with all the illion prefixes, including tier 1.
We can get numbers like Motmibixmimixillion to combine these levels. My limit for this is past Motmiribixillion, but I'll stop hyperextending this before 3-entry zillions.
3-entry Zillion Notation
This part, as of writing this section, is very much a work in progress, so this may change in the future, but I may as well include what's available since we're on the topic of Tetrational (z)illions.
In the 3-entry notation, which is z(1, 1, 1), the first illion is Kazillion. For numbers like z(2, 1, 1),
z(20, 2, 1), etc., just place "Kaz" on top of what would be there. For instance, take Micrillion from earlier. In this notation, Micrillion is known as z(2, 2). So adding Kaz on top of it will make Kazmicrillion, which in this notation is z(2, 2, 1).
Take this info with a grain of salt, but from a NOTAI video from CompactStar,
z(x, y, 1) = z(z(x, y), z(x, y)), so kazillion is the millionth tier 1,000,000 -illion, kazbillion is the billionth tier 1,000,000,000 -illion, etc.
For all the values for this notation, you may want to take a look at this GitHub page by CompactStar.
