I never thought I would talk about a meme that I made that has become a running theme that is being made by a few people.
This all first started when I made "Numbers 0 to 0" in 2022. It was originally premiering on April 1st, 2023, since it was supposed to be an April Fools video, but I changed the date of it to December 31, 2022. In the 3rd quarter of 2023, I made "Numbers 0 to 0 2.0" but then deleted it because it was only a 10-minute version of what I did in 2022, and there's nothing more interesting than just watching a single "0" on the screen for the entire video. Since then, I was done with the meme and moved on.
Now, that would've already been the end of the story, until one person took that idea and expanded it, who is none other than Circle Cube 285. He has done a short 25-part series, which has created what are called quantumnumbers, which features numbers with only "0" being used. These quantum numbers are not meant to be larger than 1, and I feel it's an alternative to just using 1 divided by some massive number like "1 / {100, 100 [5 [32] 67] 17, 236}". No one probably wants to do that, so using this 'might' be the better deal.
After that though, this new Googology type called "Quantum Googology" has formed, and a Googologist named "JoshuaDR.0809" has really taken this meme very, very far; in fact, quantum ordinal levels start becoming a thing. This is all part of the "THERE IS NO GOAL" series that Joshua has really been focusing on for a long time.
Personally, I never thought I would be the one that made a meme, and someone converted it into a brand new trend of googology types. Nothing like this has ever happened, and now Quantum Googology has joined the roster of googology types that is out there (others being Standard Googology, Fictional Googology, Hyper Googology, etc.)
Now what is in Quantum Googology? Well, Joshua's site has a lot of Quantum Googology info; I think you should at the very least take a look at it right here.
There's a few key highlights that make this better than Fictional Googology:
1. The community is very friendly (even though one person in there is an enemy of mine)
2. Similar pattern of Fictional Googology but kinda better...?
3. Hardly any underage and annoying kids in it
4. A new alternative to writing itty bitty numbers
5. Came directly from a meme
As of right now, I have no plans on adding Quantum Googology inside of my Standard Googology Journey series right now, but there is a chance I will do a separate series of my own version of Quantum Googology. Who knows?
And that's all I have for my thoughts on Quantum Googology, which can be abbreviated to QG.
