CADCA Conference

What is this?

• CADCA stands for Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America and is the world's leading organization tackling prevention of substance misuse.

• The entire conference will be on preventing misuse, including youth use, of alcohol, marijuana, tobacco and other drugs.

Attending CADCA costs our coalition about $4000 per person. As part of the investment we are making in you, we ask all attendees to:

• Commit to (at least) involvement in Jeffco Teens &/or Jeffco CTC through all of 2022 (past your Jeffco Teens internship)

• Attend the Youth Key Essential Training Track unless you have already taken this (or equivalent) training on the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF)

• Offer one thing that you would like to see happen in our community or coalition or on Jeffco Teens that you learned about at Forum-- and be interviewed about it!

• Note: This conference will not "count" toward required meetings or events for your internship. Your compensation will be that all your expenses will be paid for you. Please note: if you commit to attending, but change your mind, you will be required to pay the coalition back for any/all nonrefundable expenses.

If more interns want to attend than we are able to bring, priority will be given to:

• Youth who were interns last year

• 9-11th graders
