Many of our events would not be possible without the generous donation of time and services from our parents, alumni, and boosters.  We appreciate any time you have to volunteer for our events and to support our program.

There are many volunteer opportunities to support the band activities throughout the year.  Please watch for communication from jeffersonbandboosters@gmail.com and respond to requests for help. 

Our largest event is hosting the ISSMA Open Class Regionals in October. All marching band families will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator to work during the day of the event. Please do what you can to help!

Lafayette School Corporation policy dictates volunteers who have direct contact with students must consent to a background check.  Cost is $17.95 and approval is valid for 2 years.  Not required for LSC employees.

Go to the Secure Volunteer web site:

Click on "Volunteer Now", choose "Volunteer ($17.95)" and Continue to complete your information.  You'll receive confirmation and a card will be sent in the mail that you'll need to keep with you, valid for 2 years.  Please provide a copy of your card to the Band Office to keep on file.

A background check is required for the following:

• Chaperone

• Uniform Parent

• Uniform Fittings

• Pit Crew

• Car Wash Supervisor

Ways to volunteer without a background check:

• Cookie Baking & Sales

• Band Camp Meals for Staff

• Donations of food or other items for various events

• Set Up and Clean Up for various events

• ISSMA Regionals:  Concessions, Ticket Sales, Bleachers, Parking, etc.

• Any area where there is no direct contact with students
