The project Kids'nGroups aims to understand how and when children develop cooperative behavior. Starting in fall 2022, the study follows kindergarten children in Germany annually until their transition to elementary school. Through playful assessments and surveys with parents and kindergarten staff, the project seeks to investigate
the age at which children start to exhibit cooperative behavior,
systematic differences in non-cooperative behavior among children, and
the conditions that promote or hinder the development of social cohesion.
