The Generation Peace project under the lead of Laura Taylor (PI, UCD Dublin) is an interdisciplinary, multilevel and global project to better understand influencing factors and effects of youth peacebuilding and prosocial behaviors. Youths (aged 14 to 24) are seen as drivers rather than indicators of peace.
Taking a multi-method approach with qualitative focus groups, longitudinal surveys and field experiments, the project aims to develop a comprehensive model of youth peacebuilding.
The data is collected in several countries with different experiences with current (Israel) and past conflicts (Colombia, Northern Ireland) as well as countries considered not affected by conflict (Switzerland). Our lab contributes to the Swiss sample of the study.
