What will the end Product be?
Overview:
My plan for the final showcase is to have a page on my blog showcasing all of my work. Each part will be in a separate form to ensure everyone can see my work no matter what situation they are in. There are a few ways I plan to do this, each handling it differently. First is the video, I will have a video showcasing every mechanic I have made, showing off what it looks and works like. Next, I will add a video for the actual game, this will be a video of me and the team testing the game and playing whatever the final game is. I Would like to find a way to show off my code using GitHub and make a repository holding it. Lastly is the final game which will be hosted on an Itch page, This Page will hold the games final build and include a description.
Videos:
For the videos, I will have one large video to show each mechanic I have made separately. This will be a small showcase of each mechanic with a title, so the watcher knows what mechanics I am showcasing. This will help heed any confusion as to what I made. For the game video, I will showcase the game with a video of gameplay from our team's testing. We will show a look at the final game, showing what it looks like in gameplay. I will add each video to YouTube, adding a description of what the video is. This will help the YouTube watcher to understand the video and what it is about.
Final Game:
There is the option to add the game on itch.IO, so people from all over can play themselves. This is a great choice for the game in a more complete state, as people get to see if they would like it by experiencing it themselves. The itch page would be good, but our game will not be in the right state for this at the time it is done. This is due to how the server works at the end of the project.
Code Showcase
For the code showcase, I will make a repository on GitHub and post all my code on that page. I will attempt to sort the code and make sure it is all easily readable. This is a great way to show off the code so anyone who wants to read it can. It is the best way as most people want physical evidence and a showcase of mechanics rather than the code. But anyone who wants to read it can and may help them evaluate my abilities.
