SEL Flyer
Rationale: This artifact is a handout for parents and administrators describing how and why I will incorporate Social Emotional learning in my classroom. This artifact was chosen to showcase the importance and benefits of social emotional learning and it includes a brief explanation on what SEL means along with reasons and ways of how I will integrate social emotional learning with my classroom environment.
Connection to IPTS Standard: This step meets Standard 8 because I am building and maintaining collaborative relationships to foster cognitive, linguistic, physical, and social and emotional development
Self-Evaluation: Social emotional learning is imperative to have in my classroom, especially nowadays when the world can be become such a difficult place for our children to prosper in. In order for us to reach our students, we have to know how to build relationships so they feel cared for and appreciated enough that they actually have a reason to want to learn. I will continue working on ways to enhance incorporating social emotional learning within my classroom. Continuing to do so will strengthen my abilities as a successful educator and help reach all my students.

Classroom Schedule
Rationale: This artifact is a copy of my work schedule. The times are split by increments of fifteen minutes to get a detailed idea of what I teach throughout the day. I collaborated with various staff members in order to help create a schedule that will work for administration as well as my class.
Connection to IPTS Standard: This artifact connects to the IPTS standard 8 which states the importance of working "as a team member with professional colleagues, students, parents or guardians, and community members". I met this through the way in which I was able to meet with my colleagues and create a plan that best suited the students needs.
Self-Evaluation: Creating this schedule is a great way to keep me organized. I like posting my schedule online so parents and students can look at it whenever they feel necessary. I also like writing my schedule on the board and leaving it throughout the entire year for anyone to see. It is a great reminder of what needs to be happening throughout the day.
