Dave introduces a new episode format for the podcast - the mini-episode, where he'll share teaching tips, stories, and reflections on teaching. These mini-episodes aren't replacing the long-form episodes with guests and trivia games, but will happen every other week between the long-form episodes.

This first mini-episode is Dave's "lessons learned" from hearing LeVar Burton deliver a keynote at the annual meeting of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in Anaheim, CA the day after the election. Dave shares three things he took from LeVar's hopeful talk that might be helpful for teachers and parents helping young children navigate feelings of uncertainty about the future.
