James Sennette is an Upper School French Teacher and the World Languages Department Chair at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, MA. He previously served as the Assistant Director of Global Education at Boston College High School, and taught both Middle School and High School French at various schools in Massachusetts and Texas. James caught the teaching bug 22 years ago while teaching elementary school English in a small town in southwest France. Coming from a family of educators, James believes that preparing minds to think and critically reason, developing and nurturing feelings of empathy and personal connection, while guiding students to independent action is the route to student success.
James played "Teacher Feature Trivia" to get a language translation device for Ms. Roman, a PreK-2 teacher in Brooklyn, New York. You can learn more about Ms. Roman, her students, and her Donors Choose project here.
