Hate gets in the way of effectiveness. That’s the policy of Heaven. Thus they do not recruit soldiers who spend their energies focused on prejudice or destructive human politics. There will be no characters in the game associated with the Westboro Baptist Church or similar organizations.
While the STs recognize that there are many practitioners of various religions that espouse opinions varying from mildly retrograde to actively genocidal, we also recognize that nobody playing in this game enjoys interacting with those people in real life, so why would we make anyone interact with them in game.
Now, there is some opportunity to incorporate these themes into characters on a one-on-one basis. If there is an element you want to incorporate that is on the mild end of religious bias, and that you want to explore a character growing out of, you can make an arrangement with another player to roleplay that journey. This allows you to play that content out with a willing partner, but not with the game as a whole. Do NOT make this the central aspect of your character. None of these biases should be at the level of advocating violence or arguing for serious harm.
Example: Michael wants to play a character who is made uncomfortable by homosexuality who realizes through friendship that he is being closed-minded. He asks on the slack if someone is willing to play a character who will become his friend over time. Blandine agrees to play this with Michael, she is playing a lesbian character in the same faction and would want to argue Michael’s character out of his bias. Michael can now play this bias specifically with Blandine, but not with other players. (If nobody had said yes, Michael could rework his character to have already overcome this bias).
