Activity 1: AI in Collection Management (55 min., small group/whole group)
Part 1: Research general AI Tools that will streamline collection and connection development. (20 min small group by library type). Don't include selection tools; we did this last workshop. 20 minutes
Self select your Break Out Room by Library Type. (Public Children/Teen, School, Academic/Special, Public Adult)
Use the shared sheet, add AI Tools that support collection and connection development. This can include, but is not limited to AI tools supporting: budgeting, topical tracking/analysis, direct patron marketing, diversity audits, OER audits, policy building/policy updates, collection condition, and user education.

Select 1 tool to gain a more in depth understanding of its uses and how it can specifically support collection management in your library type.
Be prepared to share information about your select tool with the whole group.

Activity 3 Presentation 6: Data Visualization Continued (10 min whole group, 20 min. individual work session)

We will make sure that you have chunked topics!
Part 2: 2 Choices: 1. Take your infographic and make it dynamic/connected to data (using the same software you used for your infographic) OR 2. Use Dr. Washingtons examples and create a dynamic data visualization in a slide or powerpoint, connected to the relevant data about your chunked collections you are planning to build.
We will all be working individually, with quiet time to work on your data visualization.
When we come back together, ask questions & share new possibilities.
