Theatre in India has a copious past with its tradition going back to almost 5000 years. Initiated strictly as a narrative form, Indian theatre gradually encompassed all the popular expression of fine arts into its physical manifestation. Now a day reckoned as an art form to illustrate the unedited realities of life, Indian theatre has witnessed enough alterations through ages.

Television in India has been in existence since last four decades. For the first 17 years, it spread haltingly and transmission was mainly in black & white. However in a structured way television in India has come in the forefront in the past 20 years. The journey was long yet interesting. The Indian television industry is now bubbling; a huge industry by itself Indian television is one of the most sought after medium entertaining both the urban and the rural India.

The sublime tradition of Indian music illustrates the rich history of this art form in India. It is believed that the origin of this system goes back to the Vedas and Upanishads. History of Indian music unfolds the verity that music gradually changed in shape and form in accord to external influence. India has a very rich legacy of traditional music, which has been created due to the extreme cultural diversity and endless varieties of folk styles.
