Each one of us has been given talents in life—talents as described in Matthew 25:14–30. And with the talents God has given us, we are called to use them for His kingdom. There is going to come a day for all of us when we must answer for what we've done with those talents. How did we use them or share them with others in order to multiply them?
Before Lent, have we let our talents just sit and not multiply? Maybe we have just been too busy! What if we actually should be using our talents no matter where we are? The problem with us not using our talents is not that we aren't in enough situations to use them; it's that we aren't looking for the opportunities, nor are we ready for them when they arise. Reflect today on what talents or gifts God has given you. What fruits from the Spirit of God flows from you, and how can you multiply that wherever you go today by letting others experience it? Be willing to be used by God today. Keep your eyes open and pray continually.
