Today is the day that the Lord has made! We get back into our routines, yet this week they should be slightly different—more focused. After our first few days in our Lenten offering to God, our focus should be more on Him. How much more will depend on everyone's different circumstances, but we should be starting to see some change from what we have chosen to give up or add to our lives that helps us get closer to God.
As we sit in the stillness of this day and read our scripture, listen to our song, and pray together, let us sit in this moment quietly and listen to see if God is saying something to us about this day. After our many different weekends, maybe it is time to slow back down, get back to work, or get back to looking at others around us—but what is it? Pray that, in the stillness of this moment, God speaks to you about what He wants for this day. How are we going to use our lives, which are starting to change from this Lent, to better love Him and those around us? He is always working for the good, and He wants to use you in this moment no matter what the day may look like for you. There is no schedule that is too big or too small for God to have plans to use for the good of those who love Him.
Stop and listen. Be present. Look to God and look at those around you. Take your hands off the controls and listen to what God wants today.
