Pray Without Ceasing

11 Teach me your way, Lord,

that I may rely on your faithfulness;

give me an undivided heart,

that I may fear your name.

12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;

I will glorify your name forever.

13 For great is your love toward me;

you have delivered me from the depths,

from the realm of the dead.

1 Praise the Lord, my soul;

all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the Lord, my soul,

and forget not all his benefits—

3 who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 103: 1-5

Let's give praise to God today! Remembering the words in the Psalms and what God has brought us through. When we are in the desert and things are uncomfortable, or we find ourselves in a time when we don't know exactly what to pray for, let's start with praise and the rest will come. When we start each day by praising God, we set our hearts toward Him right away. We get our minds off our own problems and worries. We take a look at the Creator instead of the anxieties within the world. We also remind ourselves that He is a God we can trust with everything.

Yes, we should fear God and that day of meeting Him, but that fear is healthy and helps turn us away from joining the evil in the world. We should also bring absolutely everything to Him. Pray without ceasing because He does care. Surrender ourselves to His grace and mercy today. Start with praise! Then open your heart to Him. Ask Him to help those in terrible circumstances, to soften the hearts of those who hate, and to guide us in the ways we should go. Bring it all to Him today.

Prayer

Thank You Father, for Your love and Your teaching through prayer. There really is nothing too big or small for You to care about and help us through. We don't always see or understand what is going on but You are working. Give us patience today to trust You. You are the Great Creator and nothing goes by unnoticed. We look forward to the day we see Your face in heaven, Jesus, but until then give us the grace we need for this day. We lift those up to You that are on our hearts, asking for Your healing and Your presence. Jesus, we pray now and always in Your name. Thank You.
