A workshop that explained Dengue Fever to Chin refugees to raise their awareness on the dangers of dengue fever. Approximately 30 Chin mothers alongside their children attended the workshop.
During the workshop, an infographic presentation was presented to share the causes, signs and symptoms, danger, preventive measurements and home remedies (papaya leaf juice) of dengue fever.

SUKU-SUKU SEPARUH
A workshop conducted to explain the concept of 'Suku-Suku Separuh' (A healthy diet concept that was established by the Malaysian government as a healthy dietary guideline) to Rohingya refugees. The aim was to provide them with an easy-to-use guide to bring balance to their plate without the need to pull out measuring cups or a scale.
The goal is simple : fill half of a plate with vegetables, a quarter with healthy carbohydrate-rich foods, a quarter with lean protein foods, and a small dollop of healthy fats. Approximately 35 Rohingya children attended this workshop. We had an interactive session with the refugees.
A few photos of economically friendly food (which are easy to find in Malaysia) were displayed to them. We then categorized the photos based on different nutrient groups (carbohydrate, protein, fiber and fat). To further strengthen their knowledge about this concept, each refugee was given a piece of paper in the shape of a plate to draw their meals based on the concept of 'Suku-Suku Separuh'.
