Hands of Hope is a long-term voluntary project established under UCSI Scholar’s Circle in 2014 with a mission to sow seeds of change towards the refugee communities through education.
We aim to provide quality education to the refugee communities and instil volunteerism among youth by providing a platform to reach out to marginalized communities.
Since our establishment, we have connected up to 456 university students to volunteer in 6 refugee schools, providing education assistance to them on a weekly basis.
An event that was in alliance with Sponsor-A-Child (SAC) Project. SAC Project aims to provide financial supports to refugee students who are in difficulties. It also provides a platform for refugee kids to showcase their talents.
A virtual fundraising campaign that was held in 2021 aimed to make sure the Sponsor-A-Child (SAC) Project is still ongoing successfully. This campaign included a total of 3 events:

A fundraising campaign that was held in 2020 during the pandemic of COVID-19. The fund was channelled to purchase daily necessities for helping refugees to get over the pandemic.
It was a workshop in which refugee students are invited to experience campus life in our university, by attending a few special lectures and participating in some learning activities. This event was to encourage and motivate them to continue their studies.
It was an event to raise public awareness of the refugees by playing simulation games. The participants can experience how the refugees travel to our country and how was their life in our country.
