To choose the best team to represent the Divisions of Misamis Oriental, Gingoog, and El Salvador, the first ever triangular meet under the athletic association MORESGAA (Misamis Oriental, El Salvador and Gingoog Athletic Association) was conducted April 17-20, 2024 at Balingasag, Misamis Oriental.
Regional Sports Coordinator of DepEd Region 10, Sir Richard Dragon said in an interview that the region fused the three divisions as one province in order to increase the challenge and at the same time ensure that whoever competes in the NMRAA are the best of the best in the region. “Even so, whoever will win in the triangular meet will have to compete with the other provinces including the 2 highly urbanized cities, Cagayan De Oro City which is the last year’s regional winner and Iligan City,” he said.

"They will learn, and after that they will improve and they will play again carrying with them the experience they've gained in the past."
and even coaches think that the event is ‘unfair’.
“This is very challenging because some of our athletes and even our coaches think that it’s going to be unfair just because MisOr has been proven to be undefeated,” he added.
However, despite that the results might be in favor for the province of Mis. Or, the Regional Sports Coordinator mentioned that the disadvantage would be those coming from Gingoog and El Salvador as they’ll have lesser chances of going to the regional level.
“The disadvantage would be those coming from Gingoog and El Salvador because they will have lesser chances of going to the regional level because theyhave to compete with the biggest and 2nd strongest delegation which is MisOr,”Mr Dragon stated.
He said that athletes should enjoy competition because in sports, “it’s not always about winning but it’s the experience one can gain throughout the event.”
“My message is they just have to enjoy it because in sports, it’s not a always about winning but it’s the experience...they will learn, and after that they will improve and they will play again carrying with them the experience they’ve gained in the past,” he said.
