The conduct of the first ever MORESGAA Triangular Meet is more necessary than unfair.
Going up against the second biggest and strongest delegation of the region calls for a challenge and at the same time an opportunity to make the Province of Misamis Oriental (which is compromised of the three divisions of Gingoog, El Salvador and Misamis Oriental) a stronger team to look out for in the regional competition. According to Mr. Richard Dragon the Regional Sports Coordinator that the MORESGAA will not highlight the divisions’ weaknesses but will have their strengths reinforced. Essentially, in all the aspects, the final winners would make a team. Think of it as adding strength and upgrading the team before the regionals happen.
Additionally, there is no total guarantee that the Mis Or team will be the winner in all games. Though they may be the division that is on par with the very strong delegation that is Cagayan De Oro. No one is sure whether they excel in every aspect: Everyone has their own strength. Just as how Mis Or will have their aces so will El Salvador and Gingoog. Unless tested we just can't be certain.
Although, it would be less costly for schools if they didn't have to do additional meets, the chances of forming a better and stronger team for the province is higher.
Come to think of it, MisOr might have fallen shortto Cagayan de Oro last year but with the combined forces of MORESGAA this year, who knows, we become a stronger team.
Afterall, as Mr. Richard Ragon the Regional Sports Coordinator would put it, Sports isn't about winning, it's about the experience and what they learn for one to improve.
